It’s time to move into the cyber age. So I find myself writing my first ever blog. Who knew?
After eight years in the floral industry in Victoria (and many more elsewhere, but we’re not counting are we?) I wanted to make some time to reflect on where I started and take a peak into the future and see where we are headed.
The new millennium started with me and a little (and I mean little) flower shop, I didn’t even have a bathroom! The first year I did 3 weddings and thought this was so exciting. I was thrilled to be chosen to be a small part of 3 brides special days, helping to create memories that would last them a lifetime. I worked seven days a week and did I have a social life…um, no. Just my four legged furry, Loki dog to keep me company. She has claimed the shop as home and has a fan club all her own!
After a few years of dedicated loving labour my team expanded, grew and changed into what it is today, a great crew that love what they do and are good friends too. There is something very passionate and uniting about people who truly LOVE flowers, I believe they call us kindred spirits. The shop grew too, it actually tripled in size to incorporate a great studio space for us to work our magic in. Now instead of 3 weddings per season we cap it off at 3 weddings(size dependant of course) per weekend! Loki is still around and greeting customers everyday while patiently waiting for her daily visit from her true love, the mailman.
We’ve established an online presence and an ecommerce site as well with great photos of our original work that can be purchased right off the website as well as portfolio images of some of our different events and parties that keep us so busy.

Lately we’ve been getting some great press as well. “Real Weddings” ran a four page spread on a wedding we decked out with flowers at Hatley Castle and The Island Bridal guide published many of our images as well as featuring 3 of our weddings in it’s Real Wedding section.
One of the weddings that got a two page spread was my own to my love Brandon Devnich. So apparently I did manage to find the time to establish a social life!
I consider myself very lucky to be looking into the future with a great crew, a wonderful space to work, beautiful blooms and creative hands, my four legged furry face and my new loving husband at my side. This is a amazing life that we are all co-creating while adding a little bit of beauty along the way.
